    Where have you been?
Triumph was a great band in it's '80's heyday'
Rik Emmett was a great guitarist/singer.
The bass player was decent, but not irreplaceable.
The drummer, who also sang, was good but not Peart-like in his awesomeness
They had several big songs, "Fight The Good Fight" among them. Also "Magic Power" was a hit for them. They were also from Canada

I've been familiar with Triumph for at least 30 years...

Years ago we did a few gigs with another band whose guitarist played a double neck that he'd bought from Rik Emmett.

He managed to work that into about every second song intro - we started a drinking game for every time he mentioned Emmett's name.

Oh, and Triumph were pretty good.

  7. Agree with Tangentmusic.
Great live band. You can buy a DVD of them at the US Festival in 1982.
Blinding Light Show and The City were awesome tracks from their early years. I would recommend Allied Forces as the cd to buy if you only buy one from them.

+1. They were pretty popular in the 80s. I used to hear them daily on the radio when I was in high school.

    Congrats on meeting Triumph.
My favorite drummer(in an 80's bandwith me) played them and Rush constantly on whatever he could including his drums.

Been a fan for many years now. Saw them live in Houston, TX a couple of times in the 80's.

Cool! They do sound a lot like Rush... which is definitely a good thing!
