A bit of gear envy . . .

The rig used by Geoff Turner of “The Radiators” at their gig last night.

Sounded fabulous! First time I’ve heard a Genzler amp live. Impressive, very impressive.

Much love for The Radiators, some of the first tunes I ever learned. We thought we were very naughty and all grown up at 14 years old jamming away to the Rads "Gimme Head"and "Fess's Song" and ACDC's "The Jack" and "Big Balls", blasting through our 5 watt Coronet amps in my mate's shed. I have not matured since then 😀
For many years in my youth I thought Big Balls was a fake song because it was on the Doctor Demento Show that I have a cassette recording of. Commercials and goofy songs and all.

I had to look twice too. Three 210s is an interesting way to manage power while maintaining versatility.
More sound than a 4x10, less than an 8x10. :woot:

With each cab being 8 Ohms, all speakers would get the same power, just as using a 4 Ohm 4x10 and an 8 Ohm 2x10.
Both scenarios result in a 2.67 Ohm load which the Genzler amplifier can do all day long.

I love my Genzler rig: Magellan 800 with their Nu Classic 212. While I usually have a pedalboard for all the various tones I need throughout a set, last night my band played a 4 set gig at a small bar, and felt it was best to leave the pedals and just plug directly into the amp. Sounded fantastic, using a Vintera 50's Precision and a American Standard Jazz. Used the dirt channel for a little grit, swapped between the A and B contours depending on the song, and that's it. Left the EQ alone for the most part. I can't recommend the Genzler enough.
