It didn't help things that he went to that orange school and ran back a last play punt to beat my beloved Sooners!

I doubt that guy will ever play a down for the Seahawks, so it's a stupid move. I don't know what they were thinking. Maybe it's a preemptive move to make sure he doesn't end up with the Rams, if he somehow doesn't get sent to prison for the rest of eternity.

I know quite a few Browns fans here in OH and none of them want Watson to play. They just want to put that debacle behind them and move on to the next one.

He will get broken in half soon enough. As a Browns fan since childhood, I think getting rid of that guy somehow is the best thing the Browns can do. If he gets torn to pieces again, that's the quickest way to get rid of him. Brutal, but also a fact.

Not really when you consider the owner. He's not a football guy at all, he's a business man. A shady and bad one at that. This is purely a financial decision. He owes Watson a bajillion dollars and he wants a return on that investment, so Watson is going to play until he can't.

It amazes me how genuinely surprised Watson is that people don’t like him. The silver lining is that a lot of NFL players seem to feel the same way, and are happy to remind him of that on the field.

I feel bad for the fans, who don’t deserve any of it, but you could say that about pretty much the entire history of the current Browns organization. Unfortunately, this is the way of the NFL now. When they’re evaluating a team sale, the owners only care how it affects their own team’s valuation. Grifters like the Haslams, or Dan Snyder before them, as owners is just a fact of life now.

You are right. This is the same guy who defrauded customers at his truck stops for years and got raided by the FBI. Welcomed with open arms into the world of NFL ownership.

Exactly. Sunk costs are not a factor when looking at the future. Maybe he's hoping Sanders will learn while being a backup or something. There's validity to that option, but learning from Watson might not be ideal.
