A device for recording ideas?

ZOOM H2 - Sounds great, records multiple stereo modes, including 4 channel surround, WAV or MP3 with variable sampling, built in compression and limiting, use SD card, etc. etc. It seems that the main difference with the H4 is no balanced inputs. I got mine for $150 new on eBay.

The Korg Pandora 4 track is a handy little piece with a 1/4" jack, built in effects, and beats. It is tiny and pretty durable. The only problem is it uses SmartMedia Cards which are becoming hard to find. Because it is becoming obsolete you could probably get one cheap. I used one for recording until i got a Roland (it's obsolete too).
