The fastest way is to tune down the strings you have and play really soft.Hello. What's the fastest and easiest way to tune a 4er to BEAD without the need to change the nut? I'm thinking a headless bass might do the trick because unscrewing the headpiece is easier than changing the nut but I'm not sure. Thank you!
Easy. Just put on the strings and deal with the high action and buzz.Hello. What's the fastest and easiest way to tune a 4er to BEAD without the need to change the nut? Yes, that's exactly what I meant! Is it possible to change tuning back and forth within the same gig? Thank you!A little more info might help. Are you trying to constantly go back and forth between EADG and BEAD tunings on the same bass?

BEAD + EADG = 5-string…getting a 5 string, seem like a much easier solution…
No!Ok I think I got you guys confused here. I'm trying to ask that is it possible for me to go back and forth between EADG and BEAD tunings on the same bass within a short amount of time, like 10 mins so I don't need to bring two basses to a gig. Thanks!
