I just replaced the nut on my '76 P-bass, and since I won't be needing the old brass nut anymore, I thought I'd offer it to anyone out there who might want it. It's light enough to mail in an envelope with a stamp, so I'll be glad to sent it to anyone in the US.
I switched to TI Jazz flats recently (I love them), and they didn't fit well in the brass nut's slots, so I got a new Tusq nut, and it solved the problem. But before I switched over to the TIs I actually really liked this brass nut. The open strings sound just like fretted notes, and the finish is nice and old-looking (probably from the 80s).
