I'll Start:

Turn it again - Red Hot Chili Peppers
I love it because it's full of energy, and I can't help but move to it. With Flea's fluid lines and Anthony's voice, plus a heap load of kickass guitar, it just works for me.

High Hopes - Pink Floyd
The chord sequence at the beginning just haunts me, and the song builds up in such a way I can't describe it. It's just so intense.

Here's To Life - Bandits Of The Acoustic Revolution
Before anyone says anything, I know it's originally a Streetlight Manifesto (Who I love!) song, but I prefer the BOTAR version. One of my favorite songs of all time, but I can't work out why.... Musically brilliant and conceptually gold, it never loses it's charm!

Speak of the devil, eh? If I ever feel down, I put on Streetlight's 'Somewhere in the between' album, because it always cheers me up. I can't have anything but a smile on my face with Streetlight on.

Last Regret - Paradise Lost
A song so heavy, so melodic and so powerful is the best way to end this list. This rings truer with the majority of my music collection, with the likes of Iron Maiden and Tool. The guitar solo in this is just wonderful, and the entire song just makes me feel powerful.

1.Omission by John Frusciante from the album shadows collide with people

I love John and Josh's vocal parts and harmonies. Also, the baseline is very subtle is a perfect fit for the song. The song itself in it's entirety captures a feeling and imbues me with that feeling. Plus John frusciante has an awesome voice.

2. Cuando Me enamoro by Andrea Bocelli from the Amore

Andrea Bocelli's voice is astounding and amazing. The guitar is just out of this world because it supports and accentuates all the romantic notions within the song. The bass part in the song is just playing the supportive role by filling in the low frequencies(it still sounds great). Also, the whole song is just a romantic and beautiful.

3. Free Jam with Flea and brad wilk from the Axis Of Justice live album

The jam starts out with good old E min pentatonic based line from Flea and things start moving after that. Brad wilk really keeps it in the pocket and matches Flea's aggression and keeps up with the changes in dynamics. I love Flea's tone and all his lines just kick ass. It's a chaotic blend of funk and hard hitting rock.

4.Waiting in Vain by Bob Marley

Well, what can I say, this is a perfect example of the quintessential reggae song in my mind. The bass line gives the song life and movement and my favorite part of the song is from 1:30-1:48, that bridge part is just so beautiful and everything is one cosmic orb of universal love, I just love everything about the song. The song has almost a licit essence to me and it's just a great piece of music

5. I could Die for you by the red hot chili peppers

This is my absolute favorite song of all time. The bass line in this song is perfect in it's fomentation of creating a harmony and melody along with the vocal part and is a subtle part, but has immense presence in the mix and allows the song to sound so beautiful. The guitar chords which were the first parts written for the song are absolutely amazing and enthralling in every aspect, the 11th chords just add something special to the son and lend to the song beauty. The drums are great and easily meld with the rest of the instruments. Anthony's voice in this song is just perfect in my mind and he created a great melody that gives the song an aura of happiness and life and love.
