i'm not so sure about that- in fact, if you see one. let me know and i'll snag it up- but you can find a used Am Deluxe Fender Jazz 5 for about $750-850- great slap bass- also , used Skylines... a used 55-01 or even better yet 55-02 shouldl do ya right

I have an SRX 505 for sale. This is from my thread in the for sale section:

FS: Ibanez SRX 505

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pictures later tonight...

Paid $505 (yeah, ha ha) for the bass alone

I will part with it for $400 including:
-Hardshell Case (has a good bit of wear and damage, but def. still usable)
-Gig Bag (perfect cond.)
-Monster Cable (perfect cond.)
-Padded strap (perfect cond.)
-Tuner (screen light does not work; has some external damge)
-Stand that is in the pictures

Bass has a bunch of scratches in one area where the neck meets the body on the treble side, but no where else. Has some swirls, but it is in good enough condition to sell new at GC .

It is strung with relatively new Rotosound Rounds, and set up today by me.

About the sound. It is the highest output bass I have EVER encountered. It has an access of lows and highs that can easily be dailed in or out, so you can get about any aggressive slap sound you want. And with those rotosounds, they ring like bells when slapped!

Bartolini MK soapbars, 3 band eq preamp, pickup blend, active/passive pull volume, string thru body, ultralite tuners.

Its a Lakland. Great quality product. I bought mine three weeks ago as a graduation gift to myself, and I don't regret it at all. Great slap and pop sound. Very playable B string.
