A good practice combo?

So basically for the past 3+ years I've been lugging around the little "drive" amp that came with my yamaha when I first started bass to friends houses and school. I figured my birthday is coming next week so I am planning to purchase myself a really nice practice amp that is lightweight and decently loud. Any suggestions?

Also have the GK Backline 110, great little practice amp, 70 wts, headphone jack, line out, play with a MM HH and sounds great.

If you're gigging, you might want to spring for the GK 210 backline combo. IIRC, you can attach a secondary cab to that one and give yourself some more volume which is important. You can take the combo to practice and then have another cab for some extra thump when you play a show.

I love my Ashdown Electric Blue for a practice amp. Its a 12 inch speaker with 180 watts of power just in case I can use it for a small gig.

I just got the mini Acoustic stack and it is great for at home practice. The little sucker gets pretty loud and handles my low B fine until you really push it.

I have both the Backline 112 and Backline 210. I love them both. The 210 stays at my bands practice space and I use the 112 at home. If you just need something for home practice, I love the sound out of the 112, and at 100 watts, it's got plenty of power for home practice. If you need something for band practice, my 210 keeps up with two guitarists and a drummer. Plus, you can always add an extension cab to the 210 if you ever need to.
