A great story...

So, 30 some odd years ago or so, I lost a beautiful green G&L Bass I had.

Lo and behold, my friend Doc de Groot in Edmonton, who does (great) guitar repairs at Stang Guitars, happened to get it across his workbench today!

I've spoken with the person who bought it at an auction, and he is willing to work with me to have it come home!

Its going to cost me 800, which I dont have this second, but I never imagined I would see it again.

It was suggested I set up a GoFundMe, and ask for help.

It was funded in under 24 hours!

I'm so awestruck and grateful!!

I pick it up on the weekend!!

/shrug. It did what it was supposed to do. Getting the funds is a bit of a pain in the nether regions, but all in all, its been fine.

It's a cultural phenomenon that one could put up a go fund me for anything these days.

It could be a great story. Glad you got your bass back.

Lost it. Much alcohol and stupidity was involved.

I thought it was stolen, but a transit driver had brought it to Lost and Found. I had no idea to look there.

Sorry this is completely aside, but that just makes me think of something I read once, that suggested re-reading Harry Potter, but replace the word "wand" with the word "wang."
