A little help please...

Hi all,

I'm in a slight dilemma. I'm thinking of putting a different brand of string on my ibanez... It came with elixir's on wich i straight away swapped for ernie ball hybrid slinkys (45-105's)

I've been happy with the sound from the e.b's but i'm considering a change to test out some others.. My cheap warwick rockbass has got rotosound's on it which i find too bright for most of the blues'y playing i do.. :bassist:

So, i guess i'm after advice on what would be good strings to try ?? i mostly play blues and classic rock so i need something with a bit of boom in it...

Hmm. I personally hate Rotosound, but that is me. Have you tried D'addario strings? I have tried everything on the market and I keep coming back to these little wonders. D you use rondwond, half wound or flatwound strings?

hey Kyral,

I Wouldn't say i like rotosound's but i asked someone else to get then for me so i'm stuck with then, i don't play the other bass much so it's no biggie rly :)

i use e.b hybrid slinky roundwounds .45-.105... I'm wondering whether i should stick with e.b's but maybe go for a heavier gauge. a lot of ppl have reccomended D'addario's though so i'm in a bit of a muddle really
