A little help.

Ok.

I have an American Pro II Precision V.
Dark night finish.

The 4 string model comes with a rosewood fret board.

The 5 string(which I have) only comes with a maple fret board.

The 3tbsb American Pro II Precision V(which I also have) comes with a rosewood fret board.

I want to keep the rosewood on the 3tbsb but I want a rosewood fret board for my Dark Night Precision V.

Being I want to keep rosewood on the one that already has it switching necks doesn’t really solve the problem.

I scoured the net. Nothing. No American Pro II Precision V necks with rosewood to be found.

I called Fender. They refused to sell me one.

Anyone know where I might find one?

And just throwing this out there. I already tried “Stratosphere”.

P.S.

I’m only interested in a real, genuine Fender product.

I’m sure you thought of buying a used 3tsb / RW and swapping the necks with your dark knight, and then sell it as a 3tsb with maple board. With a caveat to the buyer as to what you did, of course. A risk yes, but, you may break even. The beauty of bolt on.

If you're willing to wait a while, Stratosphere may eventually get one, even though they have nothing now.

You could also have a luthier replace the maple fingerboard on your neck with a rosewood one. I have no idea how that compares cost-wise to a new neck purchase, but it's an option.

Hey OP, just curious how/where you got your American Pro II Precision V? I know someone who's had one on order, waiting, for a long time already.
