A little lost on getting this bass tone.

Hey All,

I've got the Black Keys bass line from Weight of Love almost down but just can't get the bass sound right. Here's a good sample:

It sounds pretty highly compressed and with maybe a bit of distortion. Definitely played with a pick and maybe some palm muting?

What would you do to get close to that sound?

Sounds like flats on a hollow body and slightly driven but just watched a couple vids and both were Mustangs. Palm muting, flats and a pick slightly driven…
