I like my MexiJazz 5-string. A really good specimen.

(check the cute puppy quilt)
First off i am a Fender lover and second the MIM is my go to bass by choice. When i got back back to playing music after not playing for over 20 years i needed something better then the Soundgear bass i had.
I tried what seamed like a 100 diffrent basses at several diffrent stores leaning more to Fender but tried alot of brands. I bought a few but they were traded and went back all for the MIM line of basses. I never could find a bass the proved to me worth the extra money that had the sound and playability of a Fender MIM.
I played a 4 and 5 string jazz MIMs for the first 2-3 years and gigged them unmodded they sounded that good. I got alot of compliments on my tone in live and recorded gigs. I really wanted a MIA jazz or P kept telling myself I had to buy one but everytime i sat down and played them to buy i couldnt see why i would waste the money.
Today i own all P basses having made the switch about a year ago from jazzes. I have a MIM classic 50's P which IMO is top notch as good as a MIA an awsome bass. I also have an older MIM P i rescued used and then dropped in 60's reissue pups and an american bridge. She sings real pretty better then my old drummers 90s MIA which i put right up to her.
I am carefull when i pick out a MIM and set them up and take care of them. Anyone who has played my basses always come away with a WOW thats really nice...great bass. MIMs are for me a workhorse thats affordable sturdy and effective.
Great bass. Problem is, now i'm GAS'n for another P.I got this for a great price from a fellow TB'er.
He changed the pickgaurd on it, I think it looks great.
My son wanted to start playing bass, so I ended up giving it to him. He loves it and is learning a lot faster than I ever did.Great bass. Problem is, now i'm GAS'n for another P.
