Double Bass A New Project for the Gear Junkie

I just started playing with a classical guitarist and a violinist doing acoustic jazz.

We did a little recording today, which I think sounds decent, but it looks like I had the limiter ON on the Zoom and my bass was tripping it.

Oh well. Live and learn. I have now turned off the limiter.

If I heard this in a cafe or restaurant I'd be very pleased.

It's missing the bass solo though, but I am biased

Thank you, Stuart. There will be bass solos when I have learned the tunes - I'm still reading the charts. I'm hoping we can find cafes and restaurants to play in. This has always been a style I have enjoyed listening to but this is my first chance to play it.

Have you heard of this recording? They explore and juxtapose classical/jazz tunes and improvisation. (Not my usual cup o' tea, but...)

Thanks, Don. I really enjoyed that ! I think my 'big bass' with the Obligatos would love to do something like this.

I have to say, however, I liked it a lot more in the beginning before the 'jazz' started.
