A question about using preamp + power amp

My normal rig is:

EBS Fafner + 2*12 Neo Cab + 2*10 Neo Cab. That's fine,..

but,

some days ago I tryied a preamp Ampeg SVT-Pro with a power amp QSC 1602PLX, and I use each channel (stereo) out of the QSC to a each cab. It's very nice to combine the two channels with those two cabinets, because are quite differents sounds.

And I think, it will be better if I can use a different channel out of the preamp (the 2 line outs of the SVT-Pro are equal) for each channel of the QSC and to each cab. A kind of bi-amplification, in fact.

Then the question is :hyper: , there are any preamp in the market with two channels (let say normal and distorted) with a different line out for each channel?

I hope I explain it good enough, my english is quiet poor.

Thanks

i don't think so. many preamps have dual mono outs that are equal to each other. some also have biamp outs with high out and low out. But two very seperate outs? The only one i can thik of is the Alembic F2B preamp which is actually a stereo unit with two seperate preamps in it. To use this in the manner you specify you would have to split the signal prior to the preamp.

Thanks very much.

The nice thing, to me, is to have a main sound clean through the 2*12, with a lot of low end, and a (minor) distorted signal through the 2*10, just putting a little colour to de signal.

I'll take a look at your proposals.

Fran, I'll contact you in spanish :smug:, thanks
