Normally, you would want your cab to be able to handle twice the power of your amp, to allow for peaks. Running them right to the max could be a disaster, unless you have some restraint with the volume control, and then why both with the larger amp?
Also - you won't hear the difference between the 2 amps. In general, you need up to 10x the power to sound twice as loud to the ear. (perceived loudness). So stay safe.
