Double Bass A slow, semi-difficult, mellow solo for bass

I need a slow piece for an upcoming recital. I need something not from Bottesini or Bach or a slow movement out of a whole concerto. something like "Elegy" by bottesini, but not composed by Bottesini

You might want to try "Reflections" - a bass solo w/piano found at ASODB.com - 'downloads' and hit it. Short and FREE!!!!!

I noticed someone suggested Chanson Triste, and while it has two really nice and slow sections, the middle section + cadenza is hardly something I'd call "mellow."

I really think that Meditation is the best suggestion here. Also, The Swan (just read off the cello part) is absolutely beautiful and definitely not too difficult. I think the fact that Gary Karr kinda introduced his bass playing to the world using that piece is a testament to how lyrical it really is.
