a small gig

were playing a birthday party
(we have to start somewhere)
about 200 people in a fairly large (for a backyard) lawn area

i have an avatar 2x12 and a 1x12
would this be loud enough for people to hear me

i am doing a funky jazz bass solo in a song i need to clearly heard over a drumset and 2 quietish guitars

I think so. I've done fairly loud gigs with a single 112. As long as your amp has some decent wattage, and as long as your guitarist and drummer aren't trying to kill babies with volume, it should be fine.

Thanks jimmy :D
i got a hartke 2500 head and it delivers good volume levels
im gonna boost the mid-lows and mid-highs to get a cutting sound

im doing a lot of slapping so im sure that it wont be too bad

When you do your sound check, have someone else sit in on bass for a bit or maybe get a long cord to check out your volume/tone from the furthest point away from the band.

Good luck!.
