Better than the freak show racket she did on last weeks award show....Butchered the song there
I thought Jennifer Hudson sounded awful and very Pitchy in her Oscars performance

This is the first live performance of this song I've heard. They rehearse right? This is bad.Better than the freak show racket she did on last weeks award show....Butchered the song there

Yeah totally awesome! Happy hour rocked. They also had the John Norris band play before Freddie. Got to play with Norris three decades later! We talkedCongrats!
Dude- Freddy Hubbard??? Man! Was that just unbelievable or what?

I haven't seen this or the Bohemian Rhapsody, but I think Hollywood has put a lot of muscle behind both, talking them up on TV & stuff.
For instance, the Goldbergs specifically had a Bohemian Rhapsody episode right near the movie release.

There's no hate. I think this is an excellent musician and an okay one who put on a garbage performance of a song they know well and rehearsed. Where's the hate? Why is it that a negative critique is so often dismissed as a hateful overreaction? Now that's baffling. It baffles me the hate towards their song and performance. Understand it's live and things can go wrong from your voice, to the pitch to whatever. But in the end I think it was great and their chemistry is as obvious as a stain on a white shirt.
No one is that good of an actor; their chemistry is legit. Whether they actually are more than friends is their business....There was certainly some chemistry there too...or perhaps just some good acting....
I tried hence the word tried to watch the original and couldn't get past 30-minutes into the movie. Also the music sucked!...Never seen the previous movies of Star is Born
I really enjoyed their performance...and took me back to the movie, which i think is beautiful.
I really enjoyed Bradley and Gagas acting and thought it was a perfect match

Late to this thread and to the film - saw it for the first time on Netflix last night. As a Yamaha fan I recognised the headstock and logo immediately - it's a Yamaha BB Current Series. My guess is it's their top of the range P34:Just saw it for the first time last night. Second time for my wife and she said it was every bit as good the second time.
What brand of bass is it when she does her first singing on stage with Jack? The headstock is in frame almost the entire time. It looked like they may have blurred the logo even a bit more than it was already slightly out of focus.
It is a Fender-like headstock with a cicular logo near the end.
I thought the movie was very well done - John
