I saw their first handful of dates in America. Saw them in Cleveland. They were sober, tight, loud, in tune, and definitely bringing their A game. Impressed the holy bajeezus outta me.
Then I saw them a year later, when they came through with, I think.... Children of Bodom? Here at Harpo's in Detroit. ZP's voice was shot, Sam was stumbling everywhere, and Herman sounded horrible. You could see the rock star lifestyle was taking its toll. Oh well... glad I got to see em before they started sucking.
If it is tongue in cheek, it is brilliance of epic proportion. If for a split second they are actually putting emotion into that nonsense, then welll....

BAH. About as serious as Saturday morning cartoons. I know they're purposely being ridiculous. Simple major key chord progressions, easy on the ears and musically simple. Just craploads of adrenaline and insanity. I am quite appreciative of such silliness. I can only listen to so much Evergrey and Vision Divine and Dream Theater and Circus Maximus and Manticora, before I just need something ridiculous and hilarious and over-the-top simply for the heck of it. DF suits that perfectly.

here in berklee country (berklee college, i mean), these fellas seem to be the greatest thing since dream theater. i mean amongst the boodly-boodly crowd

AND DONT EVEN TELL ME THAT THEY SOUND THE SAME!
Of course they don't sound the same. Dream Theater is what Dragonforce would sound like if they took themselves really, really seriously.

dragonforce are pretty tongue in cheek, and incredibly awesome.
i don't see why trivium get such a bum rap either, they play some good metal imo. the video posted though was pretty funny.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he was temp banned it would say so. The only users I've seen get the "Banned" have never returned;
