How does somebody possibly compare ABBA to a boy band? ABBA are a group, with the principle songwriters being part of the group. No different than any other band, they are truly talented.
Boy bands, and really all of pop music, especially all the new "R&B" singers like Rhianna and junk, is a total sham, nobody writes their own music or lyrics, they merely possess good pitch, good looks, and a marketable image.
Boy bands are far from the issue with the music industry, the issue lies with the public...
BTW , ABBA tunes were written by the Bassist.
Really...I never knew that.
Hahahah, shows where my head is at musically. I saw "ABBA" in this thread's title, and I thought it was talking about song form. You know...A section, B section, B section, A section.![]()
That's where they got the band name.
Hi,
ABBA was not quite Fleetwood Mac, but they did OK.
"Dancing Queen" fills the dance floor every time we play it. I think a tribute band would be fun.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
Umm - when Rutger Gunnarsson is a bassist loads cite as an influence?ABBA is "chick-rock"
Guys don't do ABBA (unless they're looking to connect with women).....
Every woman I've ever met loves ABBA....
