Ableton Live or FL Studio?

I will start by saying that probably any modern go will be able to do what you need.

In regards to recording in FL Studio I have heard that in previous versions it was more difficult but I don't think that it is currently much or any more difficult than in other DAWs. The unique thing that FL Studio has is the sequencer which I think was talked about in every comparison video I looked up, the one thing you may want to investigate is f PC which is a program that allows you to create a drum kit or just whatever samples you want and program them in the midi sequencer or set up a keyboard or pad and "play" them.

For what you're describing, FL Studio is a solid choice for composition and sequencing. Its workflow is great for creating beats and layering samples. But when it comes to recording live instruments like your bass, you might find it a bit limited, especially with effects and fine-tuning.

I’ve used FL Studio for a couple of years now and for me, it didn’t take much to get going in it. There’s plenty of good info out there to help get started in it. I suppose they all have they’re learning curve. I track bass, electric, acoustic, and vocals in it as well as publish out to SoundCloud. I find that it has more capabilities than I will most likely ever use.
