About creating solo

Here is the problem i come across in my mind now about creating solo etc.

For example: We take these 4 chords from the C Key

C Am F G

When I create the bassline for these chords i always start with Root note on the fretboard for a start point. Then add 3rd, 5th pr Octave to make the bassline etc.

But when it come to create solo, i'm really struggle. For example i want to use Pentatonic Scale to create the solo or licks. Do i use the C Pentatonic Scale to solo these chords or do i use C scale for C chord and A minor scale for the chord Am and F scale for F chord etc

You could use the C major pentatonic scale for the C chord, the A minor pentatonic scale for the A minor chord, F major for F, G major for G, but you'll find these are all just the same scale (C major). You have the notes CDEFGABC at your disposal, though I personally would tend toward E minor pentatonic for most of that.
The only advice I would give about soloing is 1) your job is no longer to provide harmonic information, so don't linger on root notes. 2) compose phrases rather than a continuous stream, and use a pool of a few notes for each phrase 3) repeat yourself in moderation: constant change is as boring as no change

Well those are called Ice Cream changes since they were used so much in 50's Rock & Roll. So listen to some old Rock or DooWop and have lots of ideas for bass lines.

Now for the solo what makes it easy also make it hard to play a good solo. Easy since all the chord are from key of C. Hard part is just running C scale you probably hit avoid notes and no one will be able to tell what chord you are on from your lines. So this is where knowing your chord tones will save you. Emphasize chord tone and it will take you from sounding like a beginner to being in control.
