Hey I alsoooo play guitar but am not really up to date with knowing whats good or not. Has anyone had experience with Avatar's guitar cabs? For 430 you can get one shipped to your house... For about 550 at Daddy's Junky Music you can get a Marshall 1960b cab. What do you think would sound better for a warm vintagey rock kind of midrangy distortion?

Avatar cabs are great value, though the concensus is that the 4x12's are lacking. They seem to be too shallow or not tuned well or something.

The Marshall cabs don't have the greatest quality control lately either. Also depending on your amp you may find the G12-75 Celestions of the 1960B are somewhat harsh. For warm midrangey rock I would choose greenback speakers.

I would go to Daddy's Junk Music and find which cab sounds best with your amp then try find a similar one to buy use'd.
