RIP to player who meant a lot to a whole lot of people. This is one more reminder that I am pretty old myself.

Apparently suffered a massive brain bleed. They're some scary stuff. I have a neighbor who we thought might not ever walk again because of getting one from a fall. They had to go in several times and drill holes through the skull to relieve the pressure. Amazingly after about 6 months he's made a full recovery. But it was touch and go for quite awhile. He's in his 70s too.

A fall played a big part in my mother’s death. It is just something we have to careful about as we age.

Eddie Trunk, who probably knows him better than anyone, posted an Instagram video earlier. He talked a bit about the incident. Apparently Ace fell not once but twice. The first time he was ok but, the second fall is what caused the brain bleed. So sad to hear of Ace's passing today. I was never a huge KISS fan, I liked a few of their songs through the years he was with them but, his solo stuff was more of my liking to be honest. As a well respected and influential musician in the crazy world of rock n roll, he will be greatly missed. RIP Ace...

Along with my Dad's (RIP) band, Kiss was my first favorite band. Woulda been about 7 years old, and I was ate up by the trading cards, the get-ups, the theatrics, the whole nine. That Halloween, I went as Gene Simmons and my little brother went as Ace.

As I grew up, my favorite bands evolved and I kinda forgot about Kiss until they came to town and my first wife and I went to see them in the early 90s. The music was just okay, but it was a great show... everything that a Kiss show was supposed to be!

Years later, I found the infamous Tom Snyder interview lol just LMAO.




It's funny, even looking back, I never really thought those guys meant that much to me. But decades later, having become a musician that grew up watching and idolizing those guys as a child, hearing this news just breaks my heart. RIP Spaceman... thanks for the laughs and memories!

Kiss was definitely my first favorite band and one of the first rock n roll bands that I totally immersed myself into their music. Saw them in the late 70s. Had all of their albums up to Dynasty. By 1979 I had moved on some to Aerosmith, Rush, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Pat Travers, Jimi Hendrix, Ted Nugent, Boston, Black Sabbath, Styx, Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blue Oyster Cult, Molly Hatchet, The Cars, Queen, Led Zeppelin, to name a few. But the original Kiss lineup, the makeup, the craziness of it all was pretty much the beginning of my musical journey.

I was a huge Kiss fan as a kid in the 70's. As many did, I moved on with my musical tastes but my interest in them was somewhat renewed in the 90's when they reunited. That unplugged performance was special. Now, having my Mom, who's in her eighties, fallen a few times, it makes you realize how dangerous a fall can be.
Rock on, Space Ace! You will always remind me what a true rock n roller should be!

Was never a fan of the band, but RIP to him. Mitch McConnell also apparently fell down again today. It’s on camera, and apparently he gets wheeled around in a wheelchair on the down low. Didn’t hear that until today. Yes, falls and seniors are bad news. Many a broken hip from a fall is the beginning of the end.

Was listening to Getaway off the Dressed To Kill album earlier which has Peter Criss on vocals. Did some digging around on the Internet and come to find out, not only did Peter Criss do the vocals & drums on that track but Ace did all guitar and bass tracks on that song as well. So by this point I'm curious about who all did what in the studio and of course I did more digging around...

Ace played bass in the studio on the following tracks listed under the following Kiss albums, the 4 solo albums are not included in this.

Absolutely, had a family friend die after falling off a short 2 step foldable step stool changing a lightbulb in his foyer. Healthy guy, but hit his head on the tile.
