I'm looking at the XS2 at the moment. It seems the perfect size for bass as we (generally) don't have huge numbers of pedals like many guitarists do when playing live - obviously there are exceptions. :)

I'm hoping the XS2 will comfortably fit on the top row the Origin Effects Cali76, BassRig 67, Bassrig Super Vintage and a Turbo Tuner. Making the pegs staggered so the pedals are as close as possible in one vertical line as all their inputs/outputs are on top so side access doesn't matter. Then having most of the bottom row of the board for playing around and switching things up or the tuner if that doesn't fit with the Origin Effects stuff.

Going off the dimensions on the website, it looks like the XS2 will sit very nicely on top of a Fender Rumble 200/500, which would be nice, as I have these pedals going into the effects return - though I haven't tested that and will when I get my board.

I may be reading part of your response wrong, but when you mentioned the four pedals fitting on the top row, realistically, you will only be able to get three on a row, even if you do it tight. I am assuming you mean 67 or super vintage, not both at the same time?

I really want more people to get into Aclam, it is a great company. I just wish they would make new fasteners to deal with tricky pedals, or have something that you can put between two pedals that can act like a wedge point that the faster push into so you can get tighter fits.

You're reading it correctly, and i'm probably estimating incorrectly. I was hoping, if you staggered the clips, to get the two Bassrigs (Both the 67 and SV) AND the Cali67 in one line (and was hoping the tuner, but thought that may be too optimistic) making at least 3 pedals.

I was thinking that if you put the bottom end clips on the first pedal in the first track, then use the second track for the bottom clips of the second pedal, they kind of stagger so they would fit closer together? as you don't need any cables on the sides of these pedals they all connect on the top.

As you can see on the top row, I have three regular sized pedals along the top and there is virtually no room to spare as I pulled out all the space saving stops I could to get them to fit.

Yeah, its hard to determine as some of those are wider then the Origin Effects ones. I was simply going off the 9.3cm width of the larger Bassrigs (18.6cm for both) and 6.6cm for the Cali76. So all up say 19cm and 7cm, so its a width of 26cm out of the XS2's which is 42cm's wide then adding in the fasteners taking up some space, I figured the three Origin Effects pedals will fit fine, and maybe a tuner at the end if there is space.

I was hoping the pedals are long enough so you fasten one, then go up one track to fasten the second so the fasteners are in one vertical line saving some space there too. I'll have to have a play when my board arrives, that but that will be a few weeks, it is always hard to work these things out virtually without being able to see things in person. :). But yeah looking at your photo you've used fasteners similarly to how i'm describing so I may be way off in how much I can squeeze there. :)

I would say their estimate of being able to hold 6 pedals is pretty accurate. The one thing to note about the Bassrigs is that they are stupidly tall and will either overhang on the top or bottom when you fasten them, so just keep that in mind.

My XS2 arrived this morning. So far so good, only had time to try and put a few pedals down. And Naack, looks like you are right. I'm just a tiny bit short to get the four pedals on the top row. :). The Tuner just doesn't fit, unless I go top/bottom which would mean ordering a few more of the fasteners.

But So far so good, really like this board. Getting the Origin Effects pedals secure meant squeezing the fasteners as I tightened the screw so it really locks it in, otherwise it can slide out I have found.. other then this minor thing these boards are amazing.

Maybe thinking I should have gone one size up, but this fits on top of the Rumble 200 perfectly.

I am glad you are enjoying it! I have the new fasteners on mine (no screw driver needed) and it is a worthwhile investment.
I believe you are also able to buy longer tracks so you can adjust the size of your board with just a few pieces instead of ordering a brand new one.

My next big pedalboard plan is to buy the single row XS, transfer my CIOKS 4 over to that one, and then power the XS2 with the CIOKS DC7 and then run a flex cable over to the miniature board. The idea being that the miniboard would be for church, and the bigger XS2 would be for at home.

If you do need to squeeze a bit more room, you can also put a piece of soft rubber between your two bass rigs, and then use more fasteners to essentially vice them together. Not as secure, but it does work.

Yeah that could definitely be an idea. The Tuner just doesn't fit by the tiniest amount - one fastener length short. My other option is to get some of the 360 degree fasteners and just put one on top and bottom. It is a bit of a bummer that 360 isn't the standard, or even the quick fasteners now, but at 4'ish Euro's a quick fastener it seems a little steep.

I find with Aclam, there is a certain level of compromise you must accept when getting their boards. The fact that you can sell pedals like new without velcro definitely helps sales.
That said, if I get a Noble Pre/DI, I will likely buy the slab that does the Smart Fasteners and Velcro so I can use it on my Aclam.

I do wish they had more types of PSU fasteners, especially for CIOKS.

I just had my Aclam XS2 delivered today, it works quite well. I got a top routing board, as I figured with the extra space between pedals it wouldn't be a problem routing cables on top, especially with the cable clips that Aclam offer. I'm just waiting on the universal power supply mount for my DC7 to finish it up.

I'm using this board with my Mayones Cali 4 as an ambient/noise maker, for just relaxing on the couch. I had all these pedals just sitting on the end table, but this is much better now that it's all secured. Wireless in and wireless out, only cable needed is power.

Sennheiser Wireless -> OC-5 -> Zzombee -> Underground Accelerator -> Jam Waterfall -> Walrus Lore -> Boss Waza Air

The power supply mount arrived today, it works well with a DC7, still have access to all of the ports, only some of the voltage selectors get covered. Also swapped in a Chase Bliss Habit, after a couple hours of filtered fuzz, I needed some soothing delay time :D I need to see if I can fit both on the board sometime, I think there might be room.

You have done me a massive favor without even realizing it. I have been holding off getting a Chase Bliss pedal because I wasn't sure if the Aclam could accommodate it with where the I/O and power plugins were.
