The 4ohm legend is a pressed steel frame, 56oz. Magnet and a good deal higher fs. Other specs differ as well.

+1. The lower impedance is the least significant difference between these two drivers. They aren't 4 and 8 ohm versions of the same driver, they're completely different in every respect.

Mine must be a discontinued model then becasue it is absolutely a cast aluminum frame and the magnet has a label with the weight marked as 80oz. This is also confirmed on the spec sheet that came with the speaker. No model number on the lable though but, it looks identical to the cast frame legend except that it has regular spade connectors for the speaker. I bought it off of Ebay but, it was new in the box. Could be a few years old I guess.

You can email all the numbers off the back to eminence customer service..they'll be able to tell you what it is...provide some specs.
