Acoustic B-20

I own one of these and I really like it! Nice, warm bass tone. :) But it is what it is: a 20 watt practice amp with a single 12" speaker. Sooo, I don't think you'll be shaking walls too much, but you should be able to get some windows rattling.

If you join a band you'll need a bigger bass amp.

I love the b20 bass amp souds great! And I can get any bass sound that I want easily.

I walked into Guitar Hell (Guitar Center) yesterday afternoon just wanting to look around. (yah, I know.., dangerous) In the back of my mind was a small, portable cheap amp for home and small/intimate coffee-house type gigs. I walked out w/a B20 for (wait for it) ... starting price $275, marked down to $149 - NOW $99. (!) Crazy cheap. I thought, it can't sound good at a price like that. I plugged in and within minutes handed them my debit card. I used to own a Polytone Mini-brute w/1 15" speaker and this amp sounds way better. I took it home and plugged in a few different basses (passive/active/fretted/fretless/hollow-body) and they all sounded great! Made in China, like most everything today - but this time I can't say enough about bang for the buck. A 3yr limited warrantee comes w/it and I popped for the $16.99 unlimited 3yr GC warrantee that basically covers any damage, even if self-caused! (kicked down 3 flights of stairs by your gf, or more likely a blown speaker!) You wouldn't even be able to replace a blown speaker w/something decent for what this amp cost! All things considered, I would recommend this amp to anyone wanting a very useful addition to your gear.

The starting price of $275 is bogus. They never sold for that. They always sold for $149. But I agree that $99 is a great price for that amp.

I went up to Seattle to buy a Bass (ATK 305) from a guy on Craigslist 2 days ago. He let me try out the 305 on a B20 and I was blown away!
Coolest part was, I didn't even barter on the price of the Bass and the guy was stoked. Since I was buying his only playable Bass (he is a Guitar player) he GAVE me his Brand New B20 for FREE. :)
It was a good day for me. :)

Yah, more of a marketing ploy for sure, like most all MRP's - I wouldn't have even looked twice if that was the price. I possibly would have considered it at $149...

I just got mine today. I had a Line 6 Studio 110 that I had to sell when the neck on my bass warped and I was told it was beyond repair. I had just bought a GK MB115 and figured I only needed one amp. So I sold it to get another bass. Since the GK is only 35 lb, which was only 10 lb more than my Line 6, I thought it would be all I needed. However, it is large and a pain to haul despite its light weight, so I started to miss my little amp. I was looking for something smaller like the B10, but this was only $70.00. Funny thing, for being 3.5 lb lighter than the GK, it is WAY easier to carry. It even seems easier to carry than the Line 6 was. I'll never figure that out.

By the way, after I got my "new to me" bass to replace the one with the warped neck, one of my friends wanted it to see what he could do with it. Naturally, he fixed it.

Anyway, for the short time I've had this amp, I am VERY happy with it. It should word out nicely at the open mics I plaly at coffee houses and for practice at home.

Does anyone know the purpose of the two inputs? Many amps have one for active basses and one for passive, but these aren't marked.
