Acoustic Cabinets

Hi guys,

I tried the search function to no avail (thinking it's probably because of the nature of the company name).

So does anyone know anything about the new Acoustic cabinets? I'm in the market for two new ones and was interested in these. Unfortunately, my local L & M would only bring them in on special order. Seriously considering doing this once they're available, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on them first?

Did you try guitar center ? Accoustic is the new thing there they had a full stock of products last time I was in our local store.

Take a handle off and look - they're made of MDF
I have some great home stereo speakers made from MDF, but it's usually a sign of lower quality in pro audio gear.

Problem is that I live in Canada and can't get to a GC. I would have to buy them sight unseen if I were to pick them up.

I'm not sure what cabs you are refering to.....the "Acoustic" cabs that are being sold at GC or the new USA Acoustic cabs....which are due to be ready for the public most any time now....such as this new 4X10

I have played most of the import Acoustic cabs. Decent, nothing earth-shattering, but better than the usual offerings at that price point. But the use of MDF turns me off completely. Doesn't seem to affect the sound, but it greatly affects its durability and resistance to bad weather.

As recently as just a couple of weeks ago, Acoustic did not have any dealers or distribution in Canada.

That may have changed with NAMM having just finished.
