I can’t find any videos or people using it. Is it too new?? It’s super cheap and lots of features. I figured tons of people would be eating it up. Any info?

Well...I just bought one. The price was too good to pass up and although I love my Ampeg gear, there was no way I was paying $249+tax for the Ampeg SCR-DI and then have to go out and buy a power supply on top of that. I am impressed with the Acoustic BPDI unit. All metal construction and very solid. Knobs are even metal. Power supply comes with the unit. $119.99+tax is a good buy. I’m playing an Ibanez 5-string with Bartolini active electronics, so that plays a role in the tone, but overall I am impressed with the tone so far. 4 band EQ compared to Ampeg’s 3 band EQ makes it easy to adjust to your liking. Scrambler overdrive is there for those who like that. All the inputs and outputs you could want plus a ground lift for those bars with jacked wiring. I have only practiced with it so far and have not used it live yet. That will come this weekend. Great tool to practice with given the aux-in and headphone out. I love this thing so far. For $120, you can’t go wrong.

I ended up with a atomic bass box. You should post as much as you can on it. I feel like know one is in the know on this piece.
It's a Guitar Center family-only device, so only GC, MF, Music&Arts and Woodwind/BrassWind stores sell it. That limits it's visibility and it's not a cool boutique hand-painted pedal anyway 
Got one for $95 form musicians friend. Returned it because of the hiss/hum. Reminds me of something you’d of picked up off Amazon back in 2008-11 form Joyo. Caca
Old thread I know but I just got a blemished one from Guitar center for like $60. I played with it for about 5 minutes and it went back in the box. Returning to my local store tonight. The noise that thing makes is obnoxious. Too bad because otherwise it sounds pretty decent and would be a great solution for me for home practice.
There are no YouTube videos showing the sound quality of the Acoustic BPDI Bass Preamp pedal. So, there nothing to referenced. The one YouTube I found only showed the physical unit being unboxed. Sorry to say, I have one of these in my Guitar center shopping cart. Must be the one you returned. Was the unit damaged? What was it's condition? Can you describe the noise the thing made?
I returned mine last night at the Appleton, WI store. I'm guessing it wouldn't have been listed yet. The noise is like a constant whistle/digital artifact. Hard to describe exactly. Not really a 60 cycle hum, but more RF interference like. I had read that not using the stock power source helps but in my case it didn't. I didn't try batteries because I didn't want to be stuck using it that way.
So, what are you going to try next? I am looking for a easy pocketbook entry into a stand-alone bass preamp pedal. So, something used is squarely front of mind. Mostly for my Man Cave Studio and jamming with buds.
I ordered a used Zoom B1X Four. This is just for home practice. I have an HX Stomp on my pedalboard for gigging. I just wanted to have something I can put on my desk always hooked up and ready to go.
There is a Zoom B1 Four B stock on Reverb that I was following that is $89 and this morning they sent me an offer to buy it for $80. Could be a good avenue for you.
It so happens I am looking for a stand-alone preamp pedal after my experience with the Zoom MS-60b multi-effects I recently bought. It has a few preamp models built-in. I was so impressed at how much tone was opened up in my rig when the preamp is running. I considered how much better a standalone unit might be. So, I am looking for a used, under $100 dollar stand-alone solution. I am completely impressed at the Zoom tone quality.
If you are looking for that sansamp flavor, the Beringer BDDI is pretty good at getting that tone on a budget. Others I've looked at in the past were the Hotone B Station (hard to find) and the Harley Benton bass di expander.

Well, after a lot of Google reading and YouTube viewing I bought this unit. Found these on Amazon, Ebay, and Reverb. Wanting for it to arrive. Will have more to say once I play around with it. Hope for good things. We'll see.
