or too look at it another way,
if you're gonna swap the internals of your amp, you're pretty much getting a whole new amp, sans the shell. so, the guys at AI might as well charge you the entire price for a new Focus head, and you might as well just buy the a whole new Focus in the first place!

The appropriate analogy would be replacement of one V4 with another of the same footprint that has more power or replacement with the same V4 that has been bored and stroked to up the horsepower.
I haven't looked inside of a Clarus though I'm willing to bet if the Focus is using the same outer housing and pre-amp, the power components used to get the amp up to 600 can be but in a Clarus II.
