Active basses with Pod XT Live

Is there a way to pad down my input level from my bass using the pod XT Live? I cant find a setting for input level. Its a Fender American Deluxe Jazz bass. It is extremely hot, and it seems it distorts no matter how loud I am.
Any Input?

Use the volume knob on your bass. This was the solution for me.

Just turn it up until it sounds right. For my Spector Euro LX, that's about 1/10th. For most of my other basses it's between 40-60%.
