Active vs. Passive

I perefer passive, personally. Active basses that I've played have a too.. articulated tone. It's as if each note is it's own individual entity, while with a passive bass, the notes work together a bit better and seem more like a part of a song as opposed to each being their own individual entity and this allows them to groove a lot better.

IMO, IME, etc, of course.

WOW nicely put!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when making an ironic thread attempting to encourage the usage of the search function, it's extra irony to put it in the wrong forum.

:).
See...John...here's your problem: you're assuming, that just because I've been around here for a hundred years, that I actually pay attention to stuff. You'd *think* I'd know the rules, but that's where you run astray...I came around before there *were* any rules, and that, by the unwritten "grandfather clause", exempts me from having to read them.

Okay...so you know I'm just kidding. Thanks for setting me straight.:p

I thought it would be better to resurrect an old thread than to start a new one. Any objections I will start a new one.

With that said after having my Fender for several months I am finding at times I am liking passive more than active which is messed up considering what I paid for her. Yes passive is just a switch away, but if I am this much in passive mode, wondering if I should have gone passive to begin with.

Anyone else relates to this?
