ADA Bassline 15

I still have an MB-1.
Haven’t plugged it in or powered it up for a few years. But those things are awesome. I would still rock it if I was in a band where I needed to switch tones a lot.
I remember the “fretless” preset was especially awesome.
If I get bored and have income to dispose, I might try to fund some ADA cabs like the OP and assemble the stack from the 90’s era advertisements. Lol

I used the MB-1 distortion along with a morley wah to cop a Cliff Burton tone ala For Whom the Bell Tolls. I also used the SVT setting quite a bit.

Total came to about $18 to do the install including the bolts and nylon nuts, since I didn’t have a speaker cable this made a lot of sense to just get it over with. The plate was a perfect replacement and the install was a breeze!

The cab sounds pretty good, definitely not as clear sounding as the 12” with a tweeter, but I’m sure in a stack it will sound full, especially if I dial in the crossovers. I have seen threads where people install an enclosed mid driver and install a crossover, which could give me more a full range rig. The only room to do the is is where a port already exists, though I could theoretically relocate it. I will probably leave well enough alone, for a total of $68 I’m pretty darn happy with this setup!
