Adam Clayton playing a Shuker bass

I think there's an access plate in the pickguard, hence that screw in the centre near the neck.

I've got number 2 of 5 of the original run of Stranglers 50th Anniversary Zenith basses. I like it a lot. It's significantly lighter than a Fender Precision and anything that's good enough for JJ Burnel is good enough for me.

There is! I missed it at first. Shuker makes great instruments.

Always thought it was funny that this guy is a millionaire and goes to all these different builders and always just goes for a P bass. His Warwick signature was also a P just on a Streamer body. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess, but I can't say P tones are what I'd want from a €10k custom Warwick, then again, that's pocket change to him.

"The neck is a single slab of rock maple, central is a two way truss rod which adjusts the neck in both planes. Its adjustable at the body end, a small cover in the scratchplate lifts out."

I know two people who have regulary used him.
One who has him undertake all of his maintenance and the other who has an active 5-string and a stingray copy built by him. Both can't talk highly of him enough. Based on their experiences I'm taking my bass to him tomorrow to swap the preamp out

I've got four Shukers, three EBGs and one ABG. Great instruments and reasonably priced by custom standards. I got my first in the early 2000s, so Jon has been around for a while. None of mine are versions of a P bass, though; I wouldn't have had much interest in that.
