Details

33" scale five-string Adamovic Soul with one-piece Walnut body (significant upgrade), Nordstrand pickups, and five-piece Maple/Wenge neck with Greenheart fretboard. I’m told Greenheart (which apparently also goes by another name as well, though I can’t recall it) is supposed to be in between Rosewood and Ebony in terms of tone.

Here's a very brief demo I recorded: The first track you'll hear is with the P pickup only. The little lead track on top of that, which begins a few moments in, is a blend of the two pickups favoring the bridge. In both cases I was aggressive with my right hand pressure, the tone was around 50% of the way up, and I added a little reverb. This bass has incredible sustain, is responsive to touch and dynamics, and can get lots of other sounds while retaining a unique (in my experience) voice.

Hiscox lightweight hardshell case in fine shape included.

I'm asking less than I have into the bass so will ask the buyer to cover shipping costs unless it’s a local deal.

Pickups: The bass was born with a Haeusell P pickup only. The original pickup sounds great and will be included. I emailed Nikola Adamovic about this bass and he was a gracious and thorough communicator. Even though he is clearly very busy, he took the time to advise me on the selection and placement of the new pickups this bass now has. The Nordstrand NP5 dropped in and works really well with the Big Split 5.

Pickup info from Nordy website:
Big Split 5
NP5

FYI this bass is passive but has plenty of room in the control cavity for a preamp and these Nordy’s can be wired active or passive.

Pickguard: The original owner broke and discarded the pickguard the bass came with. I had my local shop make a clear one to replace it.

Here’s the shop’s website that did the work on this bass (they are pros): www.the12thfret.com I have receipts for the work done and the new Nordy pickups. Let me know if you’d like these.

String spacing: currently set at 18 mm but can be adjusted- I’d guess to about 17.5 or 19 mm by looking at the bridge tolerances.

Full width of nut: 1.75 inches

Condition: I tried to show everything I could in the photos. The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod works fine.

Frets: They look amazing. I wonder if they are stainless, as they don’t seem to show any wear.

Weight: my bathroom scale says I'm 9.0 lbs. heavier when I'm holding it.

This bass is super cool, but I recently got a fretted Marleaux Contra 5, which I’m gaga over. So, now I’m selling my other basses and looking to purchase a fretless one.

These basses are incredibly well built. Every single aspect of what the bass is has so much attention go into it and it is extremely apparent while playing them! I had to give up a similar one a couple of years ago and I miss it like crazy! The name may not be as popular as others just yet, but if anyone is curious, I’d encourage you to give John Fox a call. I promise you’ll want this bass after talking to him.

Thanks for the positive words. I agree with you of course, and will add that John Fox Bass is a solid, trustworthy resource in general. He and Moto Fukushima both made me want to try an Adamovic and I'm glad I did. (Any who don't know these names may want to Google them)

any clips? Can you get a more accurate weight?
I don't have a convenient way to get a more accurate weight at this time. I will say that it feels about a half pound lighter than my bn5 which I know is 9 lbs 7 oz since that's written on the factory spec sheet. So, I believe 9.0 lbs should be very close to the actual weight.

I'll be glad to record and share some audio when I get a chance.

Moto plays a different model but Adamovic basses are amazing. Nikola Adamovic is great to deal with and is making great instruments. They've been around for a while but are really having a moment now. They used to be harder to find (he is in the Netherlands) but that has changed.
SOMEONE SHOULD BUY THIS BASS IMMEDIATELY!! What are you waiting for?! Great bass for a great price.

I know this isn't the right place (and there is an Adamovic thread) but here is Moto playing his Adamovic Katana 6:
