Adding 3rd pickup to my NG2

Currently own a NG2 5 string with 2 pickups and thinking of adding the 3rd in, but not sure if I have to drill any extra holes. Seen some videos on youtube where they had like 2 to 3 extra dip switches on their body and I absolutely don't want that. So anyone own 3 pickup configuration on the Dingwalls, how is it tone wise? Would it be wired like a H-S configuration then?

Listening to players like Jacob Umansky of Intervals and his sound is huge, not sure if that's due to the 3 pup setup.

Thanks!
