Double Bass Adding an f-board pickup

Hey guys,
I was looking on aria's website recently at their EUBs and noticed that one had a bridge PU and one had a bridge PU AND a fingerboard PU. Has anyone added an f-board PU before? What sound difference is there? What are they called, where can you buy one and is it worth it?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Joe

I'm going to be adding a fingerboard piezo to my Harley Benton soon. I've got a Behringer ADI21 on it's way that I'll be removing from it's case and hardwiring into the body of my EUB instead of the standard pre amp and then converting the original tone control to a blend control for the bridge and FB PU's.
I play rockabilly so want to try and get a passable UB sound complete with 'slappy' fingerboard sound.
It may work, it may not, but either way it'll be fun ;).
I'll post up the results with some pictures when it's done but it's taken a back seat for a minute as I've just joined a new band (on BG) and have to learn forty or so of their songs by next month. The quicker I get it done though, the quicker I can start to sneak it into some of their songs :D.

I'd like to hear how others have done the FB PU though.

Great! I look forward to having a look at your work in that case. Keep me posted on how it goes :)

I have one of those Bob gollihur rockabilly pickups underneath the fingerboard. I run it into a K&K preamp into one input of my Markbass Tube 800 and I run a Realist into the other input . I use a blend of 70% Realist and 30% fingerboard pu and it gets a decent blend that bandmembers like.
