Double Bass Adding more power to doubler

Indeed, thanks for remember that post, Jaromir. For anyone interested, here's the thread.

Just FWIW, when I asked AI about this, they recommended not stacking the cabinets but spreading them out on the floor a bit from each other. I can't say for sure if this is their recommendation because my cabinets aren't quite identical (Ten2 and Contra) but I got the feeling it was their preference in general. I just emailed them and asked for a fuller explanation.

does anyone have an opinion matching a wizzy 10 with a ea VL110?

I'm not sure you'd like the end result. The VL110 is my least favorite of the original EA line. It's got a very dark sound. It would give you more on the bottom end but most of those lows aren't heard by the audience anyway.

I'll bet two 4ohm Wizzy 10s would sound great with the Doubler.

I use this set up all the time. Doubler with 2 10" wizzys. It is a very good set up for EUB and EB doubling. When two 12" M Line cabs are a little to much. Very punchey and with a smooth low end.

I've written to EA to ask something about my problem,and they answered me that some doubler have been sold with a lower power.Gary of EA send me the instruction to modify the circuit and get more power and also a better sound result(!!!!,this is what he said to me)....
