Adhan Effect Question

I was looking through some of Mr.Manring's increadiblemindblowingholylordish stuff today and came across this

Invalid Link Removed

From 5:00 on, what effects is he using to "layer" the chords like that?

I'm thinking its possible with the note hold function on the Boss ME50B. strike chord, engage note hold, turn down volume on bass, strike new chord, turn up volume on bass, disengage note hold for a moment and reengage.

thanks for looking :D

EDIT: forgive the Korean Youtube address. If the link doesn't work, its Adhan by Michael Manring, vid posted by wizman440

Although I am by no means an expert on Michael Manring or his style I can only presume that he has a very complex set-up as you can tell by his bass. With his playing style and imaginative/creative mind and the bass to allow him to execute almost what he is thinking is just mind boggling to me. Sorry this is not the answer you are looking for but I hope this helps a little.
