she is a great player, i listened to an interview with her and she said she's heavily influenced by Lucky Scott (Curtis Mayfield's bassist), who is a big influence of mine. I can hear the melodic style playing of his in her playing. Very talented artist, her vocals are very strong and her bass is in the pocket, tasty, groovy. I'm glad to hear new artists like her are still enjoying funk/soul music!
