Double Bass Adjustable tailpiece

Noticed that the tailpiece on my DB is adjustable. What's the advantage?

Adjustable how? Do you have a picture?

I have one that can lengthen or shorten the afterlengths individually, supposedly to eliminate wolf tones but I haven't had any problems with wolfing so I can't speak to it's efficacy. I'll take a picture when I practice this afternoon.

E: It's the Kolstein adjustable tailpiece.

Thanks, can't take pics because it's at the luthier's. It had nuts on the inside.
