So after convincing my landlord to let me get a cat, i finally did. Hes 4 years old, super sweet, and very big. So, what do i name him?

Have you decided on a name yet?
Best pet name: Buford T. Justice. Then you can call him Buford or Bufe...and if you're calling for him, yelling "Buford T. Justice" loudly feels just as cathartic as cussing.
My wife suggest Patrick Stewart-cat. Or The Doctor. Or both, to hell with it, our cats all have a hundred nicknames.

IMHO, he looks like a Chuck.
But really, you don't need to name him right away. Within a couple weeks you'll start calling him something that's suitable anyway. Nearly all of our cats have had their "formal" names that they came with or were given when we adopted them (only the vet's office uses those names), and "nicknames" that we just ended up calling them after a while. For example, "Ramses," a long hair black cat, came to us after about three or four other homes, and after a summertime clip some years ago we started calling him Buzz. We took in a huge orange cat named Poohbear last year, and for some reason I started calling him Nubby, and that name stuck, and it seems to suit his personality.

That was one of the names that my friend at work suggested, and she said if one of them got picked there would be a special treat for me!!!
