Advanced Audio CM47 microphone

Has anyone had any experience with Advanced Audio microphones? I'm especially interested in the CM47:

• Frequency response: 25Hz to 20kHz + or - 3db
• Distortion: <0.5% @ 128dB & 138db with -10db pad engaged

I'm looking for an upgrade to the way I record my cab. I'm currently using an AKG D112 and I pair it with an SM57 when available.
I had the chance to use a condenser microphone and liked the results. I play instrumental music with lots of effects and my pedalboard incorporates a whammy, so I often have sounds that also go in the upper range. I liked the smoother sound of the condenser and it sounded closer to what I hear live, so I started looking around for affordable options and Advanced Audio was one of the results: they produce mics inspired by the design of some classics, the CM47 is inspired by the Neumann U47.

I was able to find lots of comments about it, but when coming to bass it's just "it works great with bass cabs" So I'm hoping somene here knows them!

no experience, but according to specs: it has all of the attributes of a fine/great condenser mic at an affordable price: unless you have the interest/$$$ for the high-end stuff = i'm sure you'd be able to use this mic. you'd have to A/B a bunch of mics (your application) to pick (subjective!!!) the right one for you. unless you want to get into gefell or neumann territory this seems like a good choice for sheer versatility.

someone here probably has some useful experience with the piece --- and some constructive comments/info for you.

but at that price: i'd rock it! good luck with your recording(s)!

Well, that was encouraging, thanks! And pretty much my reasoning: I'm not going to buy the high-end stuff, specs look good and price too.
Just hoping for some more detailed description bass-wise.
