"Advanced Search Options" in tapatalk

I just downloaded the most updated app and searched for "Epiphone bass for sale." It returned only two listings for sale along with many other search results having nothing to do with my search.

I saw a post back in January saying a solution to fix this problem would be weeks away. Did I miss the fix?

Nope - it doesn't work properly and no-one seems to care very much.

I didn't renew my annual subscription because the site is simply so much less usable (I always access via iPad).

I believe the upgrade that Paul referred to is for the forum software itself. I currently see "Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.6.12" at the bottom of this page. The current release of vBulletin is version 5. I'd guess that tapatalk is looking for at least version 4.x for some of these features.

As long as that "powered by" line doesn't change much, don't expect the advanced search to work in the app.

Please consider the mobile app to be useless, if you need search. I veto'ed the forum software upgrade that Tapatalk requires to get "advanced search" working on the app. VBulletin is nearly totally useless now (ever since they were bought out by internet brands). We're working on a major upgrade on a different platform that'll take TB from 2006 to 2013. It's a grueling process and not easy, but we'll get it done! TB app advanced search will work with the new software platform.

Until then, we have an app, but yeah the search is useless. At least it's free ;)
