Advice for a 2MM warmoth project bass

I got a screaming deal on warmoth parts and the body came with SD MM pickups (SMB-5As), 2 of them. Inspecting them, it looks like that are able to be cool split. My question is this: should I do a fade between, or can I use a 3 or 5 way to give me different pickup configs? Is the latter even possible with the pickups I have?

I re-did a friend’s Warwick $$ recently, using the Music Man HH five-way switch scheme. It’s fantastic!

No diagram, just bought a Super Switch | stewmac.com and figured it out myself. It’s pretty easy, since it’s four coils, and the switch has four sections, and all of the settings are parallel.

Yeah, the MM 5-way switch works really well, at least on the MMs, gives a wide range of tones but is simple.

Before finalizing it, I’d check out some other possibilities, like series/parallel, and maybe OMG wiring. May or may not like the results. also depends on whether you’d use a preamp or just passive...

Yah, I am using the SD preamp and am going active.
