Well i moved back to NY and only lived in MB a couple of years but I can tell you it was far hotter than 90 degrees for way more than 26 days..when I moved down there I took a job working at a golf course..mowing fairways, greens moving holes on the greens, etc...my friend that lived there said to me...oh my god you took a job at a golf course...I said yeah why? I get to play golf for free and and a few different courses too..can't beat that...He said, I can tell you right now ( this was in february) there is no way you will make it working on a golf course out in this southern heat for an entire summer. ( I took that job because it was the first one offered to me).
I said watch me...lol..I will give him this; it was HOT, no shade anywhere, even if there was it was hot there too..but my boss let me wear a tank top and shorts to work everyday..which I spent most of on a big mower..I had a massively super tan..most people wouldn't have made it working in that heat though, but I love the heat..
Honestly I knew nothing about greenskeeping when I took that job and I sort of embellished my knowledge a bit, but I learned it quick and rose to the top of the crew in one summer..I also worked at night doing old car restorations..ya know, camaro's, Mopars, etc..that was actually worse because I was inside a garage that was like an oven, and I did most of the prep work for painting and tearing down engines, and other various parts.
back to the original thread I mentioned the space heaters( electric) because people burn their houses down up here in NY a lot because of overtaxing their circuits, and running them all day and night..not good, be safe..
