Advice needed selecting an amp, I'm lost and afraid.

The Eden 550 is a great amp. Also check out the Aguilar TH500, Genz Benz STL9.2 and Thunderfunk 550 amps.

I'd also be looking for a good neo 212 cab.

Good idea concerning the "good" neo 212 cab. I've warmed to these things lately myself and may replace my pair of so-so 2x10 cabs with one if I come across something that makes my ears (and wallet) smile.

Try before you buy if you can.

The Neo's as they are punchy, light weight, and made in the U.S.A. I am currently using my 115 and sold the 410 but I am curious on MarkBass amps as I hear those are punchy and clear as well.

Agree with CL400Peavey, I do (say with a Yoda-like voice). I don't believe there is a problem with that higher-end amp. I've read a lot of good about the Avatar cabs as solid workhorses but this amp may be too much for this cab. Maybe used Eden cabs (4x10) to keep the budget? GK Neo 212? Or go for a higher ($) model and sell the Avatar to keep you on budget.
