Well, it doesn't sound like you're going to be able to do that with those engineers.
If they can't record a 4003, I'd be wonderin' about their skills, I don't care what recording credentials they have.

To be fair I am not the most seasoned bass player in the world. If Bass tone is all in your fingers perhaps I just wasn't making the rick work at the time. I had only recently got it. Wouldn't shock me. Maybe not. i dunno.
They were a great match for the band BUT we joke that they hated Bass... their idea of good bass tone is one you can't hear. No tone through a DI. the record came out great from a general perspective but you are not gonna listen to it and be like "HOLY **** THOSE BASS LINES!"
Which I am not there to be impressive but there is a happy median between that and not being heard at all. I am all about serving the song but I was defiantly playing some Adam Clayton parts. (no offense to him)
